Captain Rockhopper is a pirate penguin who sails the vast lands, in his ship The Migrator, and returns to Club Penguin with all the treasures he finds and gives him away. Rockhopper travels alongside his red puffle, Yarr. Rockhopper is a red penguin who wears a pirate hat, a black beard, and an eye patch. Rockhopper usually returns from Rockhopper Island every two months and docks at the Beach on Club Penguin.
Rockhopper and the Migrator
- January 17, 2008: The Migrator was stricken by an iceberg and began to sink.
- January 23, 2008: Rockhopper and Yarr both arrived safe on a rowboat.
- February 1, 2008: Rockhopper and Yarr began his journey home in his rowboat.
March 28, 2008: The ship was completed. (But very dirty)
Once the ship was completed, Gary the Gadget Guy used the Flare Flinger 3000 to call Rockhopper back to Club Penguin. Rockhopper awarded the penguins for all their help by giving them the key to his Captain’s Quarters.

- Rockhopper is slightly larger than the average penguin, must be all that whale blubber.
- Rockhopper can be found wandering around in just about every room.
- Rockhopper visits when a lot of penguins are on. (Evenings and weekends)
- Rockhopper tends to visit popular servers at the top of the server list.
- The quickest way to find him would be to search the crowded servers and look for full rooms.
- Rockhopper stands out because there is usually a crowd of red penguins around him.
- Once you find him, click the box on his playercard to receive his background.

- Rockhopper tends to visit the Beach, Dock, Forest, Pizza Parlor, and Cove every visit.
- Rockhopper usually stays on for 10 to 15 minutes on each server.
- Use the player list in a crowded room to check and see if Rockhopper is there. His name will have a special smiley face beside it.
- Try to look for a lot of people saying “Rockhopper!”, chances are he’s there or has been there.
